Fast forward a few years and baking has been made more easier with easy to bake recipes which can be found all the over the internet.

For instance, can you believe that this brownies is only with with only three ingredients ? Yeap.. Nutella, Flour and Eggs (in my case I added almonds) and the results? Well see for yourselves! I have no idea how a Time Lapse Camera will help me in the kitchen but who knows maybe to be able to see a cake rise or to see a meal cooked from start to finish will be kinda awsesome right? I mean I always see those film where you see a flower bloom or an egg hatched using one of those time lapse kitchen and it was way cool. Hmm.. maybe I should get one if not for the kitchen, maybe the kitty room?

cookie bouquetEveryone enjoys receiving a gift from time to time. Sometimes, the best gift is an unexpected one. Generally, people give gifts for special occasions like birthdays or weddings. Other times they might give a gift to show appreciation. Teachers, coworkers, volunteers, friends, and family members need to know that people around them support what they do and are thankful for it. It will boost their spirits and encourage them to continue the important work and service they provide. Choosing a gift for someone though, can be quite challenging. There might be situations in which you want to thank someone for what they have done, but don’t feel like you know them well enough to pick a great gift. If this is the case, choose something that can be universally appreciated by anyone, like food. One idea that would be loved by just about anyone can be found at a cookie bouquet company.

It would be hard to find someone that doesn’t enjoy cookies. A cookie bouquet or gift basket can be customized to fit any situation or occasion. Gourmet sugar cookies are both delicious and personal. For instance, if you are giving a bouquet to a music teacher, you can choose cookies that are shaped and frosted like musical instruments and musical notes. Or, a bouquet for a baby shower could include cookies that look like baby bottles, rattles, blocks, and teddy bears. A cookie bouquet can be used for a variety of purposes. They can be used to apologize, as a get well gift, or for a sympathy gift. It’s amazing how food can help comfort recipients during hurtful times.

Sometimes, women struggle to find the perfect gift for the men in their lives. What man wouldn’t love a basket full of gourmet cookies? And, they are equally popular among women. This is a gift that spans all genders and ages. The versatility of a personalized bouquet makes it perfect for both intimate and formal situations. Whatever the special occasion is in your life, visit the website of a cookie bouquet company to see what arrangement they can come up with for you.

continued from here….

On our second day of the in Sarawak, we had lunch at Serapi Corner. It was crowded but the good thing was we had a special room all ready for us on the upper floor so no need to wait at all. The set up was very nice and the ambiance was really cozy for socializing.

Here was what on the menu. The food was on the spicy side but since I love spicy food, it suited my palate just fine :)

I recently had an opportunity to be part of a Malindo Air and Sarawak Tourism Board Media Familiarization Trip to Sarawak. It was a three day 2 night trip and there are tons to blog about. I have blogged about some activities to do in Sarawak in my other blog and in this food blog I will blog about the food! So here goes..

As promised here, I will tell you about my breakfast at Cafe Majestic, Riverside Majestic Hotel in Sarawak.

We had breakfast at the cafe for two mornings and both times the spread of food was unbelievable. We had the bread station, the congee section, the dim sum section, the western section, the traditional section and of course the dessert section. Since I was starving from all the activities the day before, I took a bit from each section..hahha.. Yummy!

Here’s some picture to whet your appetite:

Storage has always been a problem for me because easily said, I have way too much stuff. It does not helped of course that being a person that is obsessed with having stuff in it’s right place, I have boxes for things that are already in boxes just so I “know” that the same stuff is in the same place. OCD? Perhaps.. but that’s just me.

Recently Azwaj got to replace my 10 inch drawer slides for the second time this year because I was shoving in too many stuff in my drawer simply because that particular item “needs” to be in the same drawer because its other family is in!..  Anyway, let’s not have you imagined that and instead fill your brain with something more appealing.

Here’s you can see chicken noodle but instead of having it straight from the menu, my lovely cousin, Sherina, requested that the vendor used the chicken meant for chicken rice sold there as well and place a few pieces of fried wanton in the dish instead. It sounded so good when she ordered it that I asked her to order one for me too. The result? Simply delish! Good job dearie!

I was browsing through Groupon Singapore one day and found this fantastic SGD15 for a SGD30 food voucher at a restaurant called BaliThai in Singapore. I’ve never been to the restaurant before but I know mommy loves Thai food so I bought two of such voucher coz I plan to treat a cousin of mine as well.

I went to two locations, one at Tampines Mall (with my cousin) and the other at Katong 112 (with my mom). I have to say I love the ambiance at Katong 112 much better. The restaurant was cozier, seats were more spacious and the service staff was definitely more attentive. There was never a moment when our glasses were empty!

All of us enjoyed the food very much. When mommy saw the Garoupa with Mango Salad, she found it a bit strange that the fish didn’t get come with any sauce. However after tasting the mango salad with the fish, she was very pleased.. lol! Anyway, here’s what we had. All in all, I had to pay an extra of about SGD20 for each occasion, a very worth purchase indeed. Mom is so pleased that she is planning our next meal for my next trip!

Continuing with my post about the food served at The Majestic Hotel KL Grand opening…

Next on the menu was Cod Fish served with parsley sauce and semi dried tomato and Hainanese Chicken Chop, cracker-crumbed deep-fried chicken with garden peas, hand-cut fries in a tangy onion gravy.

Cod Fish

I was surprised that there seemed to be two main dishes and since I was already full from the fish, which was really good by the way, I could only finish half of the chicken chop. Emila, my blogging buddy, was not able to finished her either..

I have been raving about my new Halogen Oven to all my friends. It is the best buy for my kitchen so far this year from Groupon. The Halogen Oven claims to roast, grills, steam, bake and even fries and we can’t wait to see if their claims were true.

the halogen oven

Immediately upon getting our order delivered, Azwaj decided to try it out and purchase lambs to grill. Normally he would pan-grilled our lambs after marinating for one night but to see see if this oven really works, we decided to skip the marinating part and go straight to grilling. Azwaj made the marinate and just laced it on the lamb. We followed placed the lamb on both decks, turn the knob to 250degrees and turn the timer for 30minutes.

full oven

We were very excited to see the results. If before Azwaj would have to stand by the stove turning two lambs pieces at one time and taking care that the lamb don’t burn on the stove, now we placed ALL the lamb and waited for it to cook.

After 3ominutes… beautifully cooked grilled lamb that the both of us can enjoy at one go! Awesome!

The girls and I had a wonderful time with the company and of the food at T.G.I Fridays last Sunday. Since it was my first time there, I had to sample the food and it was all good as we shared everything. I had a taste of the very delicious “Buffalo Wings”, “Chicken Nanchos” and my very tasty Snapper dish (Not sure what its’ called but it’s all good).

After great conversation and a full tummy, we all then proceeded to search for my very dream shoes.  We passed by so many shops selling all sort of shoes, even medical shoes.. but since I got one in mind from Timberland we just passed by those stores.

Unfortunately, Timberland Malaysia does not have my dream shoes but I settled for an equally awesome one. You can read about it here.

Anyway.. here are some pictures of what we had that Sunday. Enjoy!
